The Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) brings together business leaders and local politicians to make decisions that drive economic growth and create new jobs. The Board is made up of 19 members – ten business leaders and nine local authority leaders.
Sir Nigel Knowles, Chair of the LEP, has responded to yesterday’s court case ruling. He said:
“Sheffield City Region Local Enterprise Partnership is focused on building a better connected, strong and successful economy. It has worked hard to build partnerships and has a strong business culture. In our experience it is when everyone is pulling together that we are at our most successful. Businesses and communities across the city region work closely together and this has been a key factor in our success. Chesterfield is an important part of our plans to make Sheffield City Region an internationally competitive centre of business excellence.”
